Nintendo Switch won over gamers thanks to its hybrid concept, which allows playing in portable and desktop mode. The console perfectly fulfills both aspects; however, some gamers believe that it can improve in some aspects, such as its battery life in portable mode.

According to a recent rumor, Nintendo is working to make Switch 2 surpass its current console in that aspect. Sources claim that the new system will have a better battery life, which will offer even more hours of gameplay to its users.

Moore's Law Is Dead and The Phawx, sources who have revealed quite a few details about the console, discussed its battery life on the Broken Silicon podcast (via IGN). They claimed that Switch 2 will feature some tweaks to improve its battery life in handheld mode.

Sources claim that Switch 2 will have a faster clock speed than expected when is docked. What's really interesting is that the speed will supposedly be very low in handheld mode, which will translate into more battery life.

As a result, gamers could enjoy more hours of gaming on the go in portable mode. If confirmed, it will certainly be excellent news, especially for gamers who suffered a bit with the battery life of the current Switch.

Lastly, they stated that they expect Switch 2 to feature Xbox Series S-level ray tracing. This coincides with the report from other sources, which also claim that the console will feature support for scaling technologies such as Nvidia's DLSS.
