Recent rumors talk about the return of Gears of War with several major projects. Guy Welch, Xbox's marketing director, made a statement on the subject that will surely disappoint more than one fan of the popular franchise.

In case you don't remember, sources leaked the supposed logos for Gears 6 and Gears Ultimate Collection, a remastered compilation. Neither project has been confirmed for now, so the community is still waiting for new details. Welch decided to be direct and stated that this is false information.

It's a fact that Gears will return sooner or later, but it's still unclear when and how. As expected, fans are excited about the recent rumors, hoping that the popular series won't take so long to return.

The information shared by XboxEra reached the ears of Welch, who did not hesitate to deny the report about the leaked logos of 2 games. The executive used his Twitter account to respond to the report shared by various media. "Fake news," the Xbox executive simply wrote. His short statement left more questions than answers among fans of the saga. There are those who believe that Welch only refers to the leaked logos and that the projects themselves are real.

On the other hand, there are also disappointed gamers who believe that Welch is referring to the rumors of the games as such. For that reason, they think that Gears 6 is not yet on the way and that Gears Ultimate Collection is probably not real.

Finally, there are people who see the situation from another perspective: they think that the creative's reaction to the leak is another sign that the games exist and that they are on their way. It is important to emphasize that, for now, they have not been confirmed.
