If there’s something we love about indie games, is the chance to play more of them, to know more about their history, and keep enjoying them for a little longer. If you know the feeling, this is definitely for you. If you haven’t, then here’s a recommendation you might appreciate.
Today we bring good news for indie gamers, especially if you have enjoyed the work of The Game Bakers.
After their latest update for Haven, which included same-sex partners, The Game Bakers also decided to share with us some exciting news for their debut title. According to Gematsu, the indie french studio has just announced new content for their six-year-old Furi. The DLC entitled Onnamusha will include an alternative main character with exclusive abilities (and gameplay!).
With Onnamusha Rider, alternate between the fast Spark stance and the powerful Storm stance. It's all about optimisation and managing risks to maximise damages and fill up the Star meter quickly. https://t.co/icdAaXjcQc pic.twitter.com/mqto8yuNR5

Arriving on May 17th, Onnamusha Rider will allow us to play with Rider as a woman. Besides the appearance, players will also notice some interesting changes in the gameplay, which make this new content a lot more appealing. Among the adjustments we’ll be relishing, there will be two different combat formats in Story, Speedrun, and Practice modes; Spark and Storm (agile and fast) forms will change the way we perceive the adventure throughout the game. And yes, this will affect strategic matters, regarding boss fights. Beware!

DID WE MENTION IT’S FREE?
Yes, The Game Bakers update will be completely free. This offer not only applies to the additional content, but the Onnamusha (and the One More Fight) DLC will also come at no cost. Sneak peek: Invincible Mode, Furier Speedrun, and control options will also be at hand.
The latest Onnamusha, as well as the paid and free content, will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). Xbox was not included for time being. PlayStation 4 users will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free.
