Berserk's story will continue; reports official statement

The return of the manga will be this month

As many know, all Berserk manga fans were devastated by the death of Kentaro Miura. The popular manga was incomplete, and many fans were frustrated and without hope of getting an ending to the story they loved so much.

Months have passed since the creative's death, and now, we finally have news about what will happen to the manga's history. Kouji Mori, creator of Holyland and Miura's friend, will work with the entire mangaka team to rescue his legacy and end the history of Berserk according to his wishes.

BERSERK WILL RETURN WITH MIURA'S IDEAS

A statement was made in which they said that the publication of Berserk would resume with six new chapters of the current arc.

Kouji Mori will be in charge of supervising these episodes and the future arcs of the manga, and they will be published, crediting Miura and Studio Gaga.

The entire team in charge of continuing the story wants to pay tribute to and respect Miura's legacy, so they will work following precisely the ideas that the mangaka had shared about the future of the franchise and the development of history.

“Before his passing, Kentaro Miura spoke with his close friend Kouji Mori about the stories and episodes he had in mind for Berserk. He also had similar conversations with his studio staff and publisher. He wondered, would everyone be surprised if he drew something like this? How about a character like that? Would this story be interesting? The conversations were not meant to be his last words but were part of her ordinary days as a manga artist," the statement said.

Various material that the creator outlined and ideas he wrote to continue the series will also be used to continue the story. It is essential to say that Mori and the rest of the artists will not be able to recreate exactly what Miura had in mind, but they believe that following his wishes is the most authentic way to continue with Berserk.

“Since he left no drafts, it is impossible for us to create a manuscript exactly the way he intended. However, we will write the manga to not deviate from Miura's own words. We would like to take the Kentaro Miura that we knew so fondly through our conversations and work and pass it on to all of you in a sincere way."

Mori stated that he knows the story of the manga until the end. So the mangaka feels responsible for finishing his friend's work in the best way. Mori vowed to do his best to achieve this. The manga will return to circulation on June 26.

The fans' reactions to the original tweet show how happy and eager they are to learn more about the story and consider it was moving that the studio has decided to continue with the mangaka's wish that he rest in peace.

It's a good day of celebration for all those Berserk fans.
