Activision partners vote in favor of annual report on cases of harassment and abuse

However, the company has the final say on what it decides to report

Unfortunately, the abuse and harassment allegations at Activision-Blizzard are no surprise; however, it appears that work is being done to address this issue as shareholders recently voted on a proposal from the State of New York regarding labor protection.

AN ANNUAL REPORT OF CASES OF HARASSMENT AND ABUSE WILL BE MADE

A Gamesindustry.biz report mentions that Activision-Blizzard shareholders voted in favor of preparing an annual report on the state of the company in terms of harassment, abuse, and the actions it has taken to eradicate it as well as to improve the work environment.

Of course, with these annual reports, the expectation is that all these cases will be resolved in addition to improving all the complaint, investigation, and resolution processes so that they are faster.

Unfortunately, not everything is as positive as it sounds because there is a slight detail that must be taken into account since Stephen Totilo, a journalist from Axios, highlighted something important about this report, and that is that he mentions that Activision-Blizzard is not obligated as a company to present said report.

Although they are not obligated, and unfortunately, it does not ensure justice, we hope that the pressure to solve these problems is enough for them to take action.
