Twitch is about to change its tag system for good

Things will be way easier!

In the latest Twitch Patch Notes stream, the Twitch team share the upcoming major changes to its tagging system along with many other updates that will help streamers and communities.

Here is everything you should know!

To begin with, the tagging system will allow streamers to define their content more accurately. How? You see, streamers can create custom tags, what’s more, the maximum limit will increase from five to 10.

As you may know, right now streamers can only select five from a preset list of tags that were introduced last year, however, this change will allow streamers to be more specific with their use of tags. As expected, an automated moderation system will be implemented to prevent tag abuse, as well as layers to identify and report users using abusive tags.

That is not all…

The next feature is called Guest Star, which will allow streamers to host up to five other streamers on their channel.

However, The most useful feature presented during this stream was the Shared Ban, which (as the name may give away) is capable of sharing banlists, which can help a lot of streamers to identify abusive and bot accounts.

And last but not least we have Channel Switcher, which will allow viewers to easily cycle between streams. If you want to watch the whole stream we will leave you below:

What do you think? Will these features genuinely help creators? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
