A week ago some media outlets reported the recent hiring of Mary DeMarle by BioWare. The narrative designer has built the Deux Ex universe many people know and enjoy.
Even though at the time it was unknown which ongoing project she will join, today director Michael Gamble confirmed that she will be joining EA's Mass Effect 4 as a senior narrative director.
“Oh, hey! I’m really excited to let you know that Mary DeMarle will be joining the Mass Effect team as Senior Narrative Director,” he wrote. “You’ve seen her work in Guardians of the Galaxy & Deus Ex (to name a few!). She’s amazing.”
Of course, this is great news as DeMarle's work is widely celebrated across the community with amazing stories under her belt as modern Deus Ex games, and last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy, for which she won the Game Award for Best Narrative.
