Among the many things Netflix has been known for right now is the reduction of memberships and viewers worldwide. For the most part, this can be traced back to this year’s questionable decisions the company has made regarding the announcement and cancellation of its exclusive content.
These decisions have left its users unsatisfied with the services, ultimately making them unsubscribe from the platform and pay for the competition’s service. Because yes, there was a time when Netflix was the king (even before it became a streaming platform), but that was a long, long time ago. Nowadays, the company can’t rely solely on its popularity, and now that its users are leaving, even more so.
In an attempt to make amends with the fans that still give the platform an opportunity, Netflix has announced its special event, Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event. Last year, the event gathered over 25 million views from Netflix fans in 184 countries worldwide. And on September 24, the streaming company will do its best to gather even more followers and get them excited with special announcements.
An entire day of exclusive news, never-before-seen footage, trailers, first looks, and interviews with Netflix’s biggest stars and creators will arrive with Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event. The free virtual event is dedicated to sharing the scoop on over 100 fan-favorite shows, films, and specials from across the globe. Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event will be available across Netflix YouTube channels in several different languages.
During Tudum, five global events will take place in a 24-hour lapse on four different continents:
- At 11:00 am KST (7:00 pm PT September 23), Tudum kicks off with an exciting show out of Korea.
- At 11:00 am IST (10:30 pm PT, September 23), fans will be treated to a fun look at what’s ahead from India.
- At 10:00 am PT, fans will get exclusive news from our shows, movies, and games coming out of the United States and Europe, as well as an additional event that previews the great entertainment coming from Latin America.
- At 1:00 pm JST September 25 (9:00 pm PT September 24), stars from Japan will close out Tudum with a celebration of Japanese entertainment.
