Digital Extremes announced during TennoCon 2022, along with the new project in collaboration with Airship Syndicate, their new free-to-play massive multiplayer online action RPG (MMORPG) called Soulframe, which is currently in its early stages of development. They also released a cinematic trailer that you can watch next:
This new MMO title draws influence from different fantasy genres and artists, but not solely from western culture. Hayao Miyazaki´s work alongside other Studio Ghibli projects was mentioned as inspiration for Soulframe’s beautiful elements. “Our team is interested in this idea of nature and humanity colliding, and we’ll be exploring a lot of those themes through our lens while playing with ideas of restoration and exploration,” Crookes explains.
The game's development, as described by the company, is a "transparent, collaborative and interactive process shared together with the passion of the players and Digital Extremes". The official title's website is now available, with the possibility of entering an email to receive updates about Soulframe and reserve a name in the game.

Will this mean Warframe's end?
Of course, all these announcements don't mean Warframe will shut down. During the online event that exceeded six hours, the upcoming content of its current free game was mentioned, as well as the trailers for Veilbreaker and The Duviri Paradox, where players will control Drifter for an open-world expansion.
