Explore the universe on the 20th update for No Man’s Sky: Endurance

This year has been THE year for No Man’s Sky. We already know that a PlayStation VR2 version is currently in development, and the Sentinels and Outlaws updates and Leviathan expedition all already under their belt. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Today, PlayStation announced the 20th update for No Man’s Sky: Endurance.

Endurance is free to download for your PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PSVR players today.

Here is an overview of Endurance, via PlayStation:

"The name Endurance conjures up images of epic voyages at the helm of iconic and imposing vessels, so it will come as no surprise that this update focuses on your freighter fleets and introduces a whole new dimension to utilizing and enjoying your capital ship.

We’ve ramped up the ability to radically customize these massive vessels to become genuine space-traveling bases, complete with scanner rooms, shops, planters, refiners, and extractors, to name a few.

Travelers can map out and configure their freighter bases however they want in a wide variety of styles with glass corridors, catwalks (inside and out), and all-new hangar and bridge effects. And what’s more, you can populate your freighter with more crew members who bring your mobile base alive. Getting to your new headquarters in the sky has never been easier with the ability to set up teleportation nodes anywhere on the ship.

Standing on your newly-fashioned freighter, surveying the system through large glass bay windows or even from an exterior walkway, provides the ultimate vantage point for marveling at the planets and stars around you. And don’t miss the new asteroid fields, which Travelers will find denser and visually exciting.

Endurance coincides with No Man’s Sky’s sixth anniversary on PlayStation. It is impressive to see so many PlayStation players still clocking up a bewildering number of hours in the game, so many years after the first travelers set foot on their first planet. We are eternally grateful for the support of our PlayStation community.

Our journey continues.”
