A couple of days ago we were reporting how MultiVersus were topping the fighting game charts on Steam breaking records of other games such as Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter V and Guilty Gear -Strive-, to name a few.
If you were not aware, the Beta of the Warner Bros. and Player First Games title opened its doors to the entire public last July 26 and that was the only thing they needed as its relevance is just increasing every passing day.
These are just PC players, imagine what’s next…
Right now, MultiVersus is the fourth most popular game on Steam with an impressive 151,819 concurrent players. This means it is ahead of high-profile titles such as Apex Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Team Fortress 2.
Interesting results for a game that hasn’t officially debuted and only is surpassed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2 and Lost Ark.
That is not all, the game has also claimed the title of the “best Warner Bros. release on Steam”, with a stratospheric higher response than Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Back 4 Blood, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Mortal Kombat 11, Batman: Arkham Knight, and so on.
Just remember that all this data do not include users who play on consoles. Thus, the number of players currently owned by MultiVersus must be much larger if we consider people on other platforms.
MultiVersus will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 and PC, on a date yet to be confirmed.
