A year ago, the association "A Better Ubisoft" was born, which signed an open letter in solidarity with Activision Blizzard's workers following the harassment and discrimination lawsuit in the latter's work environment, and also pointed the finger at Ubisoft's management for the way they had handled the same type of problems in their studios.
The group has called for improvements in working conditions after several testimonies pointed to cases of sexual harassment and discrimination within Ubisoft.

UBISOFT WAS UNABLE TO MEET 4 DEMANDS
In a Twitter thread, the group revealed that 25 percent of the original letter signatories have since left the company. Sixty percent use male pronouns, 39 percent use female pronouns, and 1 percent use neutral pronouns. A Better Ubisoft points out that this means that only 25.4 percent of Ubisoft's workforce are women right now.
Ubisoft's problems overtook its workforce and were so great that some employees raised their voices to demand changes. In that sense, the demands of the group A Better Ubisoft were:
- Stop promoting harassers or moving them from studio to studio without consequences for their actions, ending that cycle.
- Having a collective seat at the board table to have a meaningful voice in how Ubisoft as a company would move forward from that point onward.
- Collaboration across industries to agree on a set of basic rules and processes that all studios can use to handle offenses in the future.
- This collaboration should heavily involve employees in non-management positions and union representatives.
All the more reason that one year later, we believe as strongly as ever that management must engage with us and meet all of our four key demands, to create #ABetterUbisoft and help to #EndAbuseInGaming pic.twitter.com/p9kkDevVhW

However, despite Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot's assurances that he would do "everything in his power to make everyone feel welcome, respected and safe," A Better Ubisoft notes that no change has occurred.
