Freedom Planet 2, the successor to the original 2014 game Freedom Planet, has finally received a release window for consoles. So in the summer of 2023, you can find the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

They also commented that there would be more details about what was announced soon. However, they did advance the information that there will be additional language options with the console versions. These will be patched in the PC version in the next period.

That's not all; they also confirmed that the development is in the "final stages" with the credits and "few smaller cutscenes."

“Our whole team has done such an exceptional job over the years, and we’re more excited than ever to release it into the wild next month!”

WHAT IS FREEDOM PLANET ABOUT?

Freedom Planet is a combat-based platform adventure that pits a spunky dragon girl and her friends against an alien attack force. There’s trouble around every turn, from insects to giant robots to sheer explosive destruction, but you’ll have a variety of special fighting abilities to blast your way through each stage.

In the case of Freedom Planet 2, you will face a new antagonist, the water dragon Merga, returning to wreak Havoc. You will adventure in a vast world, interacting with more than 100 NPCs and having more mechanics, including a new Guard button, parrying, a new revival system, and customizable potions.
