Following the success of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom's remastering, it's no surprise that the squared buddy isn't shying away from the world of video games and has a new one almost ready: The Cosmic Shake.
We hadn't heard anything about this game since its official announcement at THQ Nordic's 2021 presentation, but it made a surprise appearance at this year's presentation, showing off several of its levels and characters. The new trailer is available below:
SpongeBob and Patrick meet fortune teller Cassandra, who gives them a jar full of mermaid tears capable of granting wishes. The pair causes mayhem and opens numerous portals to "wish worlds" that suck in their friends. They must now travel through the universe in search of the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom who can save them.
The different levels of the game are based on different versions of SpongeBob and the Bikini Bottom that we have seen in the show, such as the world of cavemen or the wild west. The main character will wear costumes according to the occasion.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It doesn't have a definite release date, so we'll have to stay tuned for more news.
