PlayStation may be working on a PC launcher!

Files were spotted in Spider-Man Remastered for PC

According to files found in the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered which was launched just last week, it seems like Sony is working on a PlayStation PC launcher to accommodate all PlayStation games coming out as part of their future multiplatform strategy.

According to VGC, it was uncovered before that the company were planning to introduce PlayStation Network integration to its PC games, so, this discovery confirms all the suspicions the community had.

Calm down! Is not out yet

Clearly, any PlayStation game released for PC allows connectivity with PSN accounts yet, however, the files discovered in Spider-Man Remastered contained multiple references like “PSNAccountLinked” and “PSNLinkingEntitlements”, is just a matter of time to see if they eventually release it.

We can believe that Sony is desperately trying to unify its PC releases on the same website as the PlayStation ones just because Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida recently stated that their intention is to "become more multiplatform”. Without doubt, this strategy is not going to change even more so because the competition already has exclusive platforms and so far Sony has released its PC games only on Steam and the Epic Game Store.

A PlayStation PC Launcher could involve sharing the same PS Store funds between PS5 /PS4 consoles and PC, as well as your friend list or trophies, something that would make life easier for users.

But tell us, do you think this is a good idea? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
