Sons of the Forest, the sequel to horror-survival game The Forest has been taking its sweet time to arrive, and according to developer Endnight Games, it won’t release in October as planned as “one last" delay will push its launch until February 23, 2023.
This is not the first delay, as Sons of the Forest was expected to launch in May this year, however back then, Endnight decided to postpone its release to October; in order to deliver its "vision of the next step in survival games” and well… here we go again.
Gave them some time!
Today the developer asked players for patience through a Twitter post, saying that due to the scope of this title it has been hard to pinpoint an exact release date, so they had to delay it one last time.
Hey Everyone,

Due to the scope of our new game Sons Of The Forest, it has been hard to pinpoint an exact release date, and today we have to delay one last time.
Giving us time to complete the polish we feel is needed, we will release Feb 23, 2023, priced at $29.99USD. pic.twitter.com/9SmeLelmj6
Fortunately, we got to see 12 seconds of brand new in-game footage and also got to know the official price of this game which will sell for $29.99USD. While 2022 has been the year of delays, we understand how overwhelming can be for an indie studio to reach its launch date.
If you are not familiar with Sons of the Forest you should know that in this horror-survival sequel you are sent to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, you will find yourself in a cannibal-infested hellscape. In order to survive you need to craft, build, and struggle either alone or with friends.
Have you already wishlisted it on Steam? If not, you can do it here.
