Persona 5 stage play is receiving its final issue

It will complete the original story!

If you weren’t aware, a stage adaptation of Persona 5 saw the light back in 2019 adapting the RPG’s plot to theaters which ran in two Japanese cities, Osaka and Tokyo for three incredible years.

Sadly, good things have to end, and developer Atlus announced that the Persona 5 stage play is receiving its fourth and final part in late October with six performances scheduled for four consecutive days in Japan.

The news were posted on their official website and they detail how this play will depict the climactic arcs of Persona 5. To begin with, even though the original 2016 RPG title serves as the main inspiration for this play; it will not include characters who debuted in the enhanced Persona 5 Royal and the direct sequel Persona 5 Strikers.

A good run

This stage play enjoyed great success in Japan, with Part 1 taking place in Osaka and Tokyo in December 2019, Part 2 in October 2020 in Yokohama and Osaka, and Part 3 in December 2021 in Osaka and Yokohama as well. Covering the storyline almost smoothly, many fans stumbled upon an incredibly produced stage which aimed to complete the whole Persona 5 story in order to bring a new audience closer to the franchise.

The general supervisor, script writer, and stage music lyricist will once again be Hideyuki Nishimori, responsible for the past two editions, while a new director joins, that being Naohiro Ise best know for his work on the stage play Tokyo Revengers - Bloody Halloween.

On the other hand, the cast is composed of most of the actors who performed in prior chapters. The only exception is Yuki Mishima, who was portrayed by Taishu Nukanobu in the first two parts and Shougo Tamura in the third; now played by Takuto Nakajima.
