Latinx in Gaming invites all gamers to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Thursday, September 15, to Saturday, October 15.
Celebrations include the return of the UNIDOS Online Event, appearances at TwitchCon, grants for game development, and other initiatives backed by some of the industry's biggest names.
What is Latinx in Gaming?
Latinx in Gaming is a nonprofit organization that brings together Latinx from around the world to promote cultural appreciation and representation in the video game industry while providing a platform for Latinx community members to elevate one another and themselves. They won the Global Gaming Citizen Award at The Game Awards in 2021.

From Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, UNIDOS is a three-day virtual charity event sponsored by longtime partners Twitch, EA, Niantic, Ubisoft, and NZXT.
The event will combine a Latin American talent show and a developer showcase to raise funds for educational programs, scholarships, grants, investor panels, and an exciting game jam; more details will be released soon. Developers will hold roundtables, giveaways, game trailers, demos, Let's Plays, cooking demos, speedruns, and more.

Grants 2.0 applications are now open through September 20, 2022, with sponsors Nintendo, Niantic, Riot Games, Unity, Activision Blizzard, and PlayStation, granting a total of $30,000 to content creation, game development, marketing, and engineering professionals.
Scholarship recipients can use the funds to pay for convention travel, professional courses, equipment upgrades, and professional training licenses. Furthermore, NZXT, a global leader in custom PC manufacturing, will donate five PCs to the winners dedicated to game development and the advancement of the gaming industry.

From Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9, there will be a Latinx in Gaming booth at TwitchCon in San Diego, located in the main exhibitor hall in the ''Charity Zone'' where attendees can purchase limited-time products and meet the team at networking events.
Showcase what makes Hispanic culture rich and diverse, and make new connections with talent from all underrepresented backgrounds, at Café Cultivar's Latinx and Hispanic Streamer MeetUp on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2:30 PM PST, and the TwitchCon Salsero Happy Hour on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 5:00 PM PST.
