Sony's console is going to be a hit this holiday season

Despite the difficulties faced during the pandemic and in the current period, PlayStation 5 has stood up to the onslaught from related sectors and even its fierce competitor, Xbox. Based on recent sales data, it looks like Sony's console will finally be able to enjoy a very successful holiday season and respond to the popularity it has gained worldwide, which, according to an analysis, is present in more than 100 countries.

Surprised? Yeah we are too

Through a press release, portal Futbin.com shared the results of an analysis of Google searches related to video games in more than 100 countries and in the last 12 months, according to their data, PS5 is considered the most popular console in the world given that it leads the number of searches in 103 countries, surpassing Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.

Seems like Sony has the market dominated, with over 56% (and increasing) gamers interested in buying the Japanese console.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch was the most popular console in 36 countries representing 19.6% of the market now that it is in its sixth commercial year and with evident signs of a drop in sales. Likewise, the Xbox X Series X|S offer was the most popular in 30 countries, not bad at all.

Recently, it was confirmed that PS5 was the best-selling console in the United States in September and its sales have also increased in the United Kingdom. In this regard, reports point to a significant improvement in the manufacturing and distribution process that is resulting in more units available.

It also should be noted that there was recently a change in the manufacturing process of the CPU used by Sony's console that has resulted in more chips available and therefore more consoles on the way for the most important commercial season of the year.

Great news nonetheless, the question is, how are the other companies will answer to this?
