After pre-announcing the arrival of Battlefield 2042 on EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate, EA DICE, and Ripple Effect describe in a video all the contents of Escalation, the next in-game phase that will run through Electronic Arts' multiplayer shooter during Season 3.

From the start of Season 3, we will get to fight in the setting of the new Bridgehead map, a scenario that will take players venturing into the Swedish wilderness to engage in close combat between two giant automated plants and pristine terrain.

What's coming to the game?

The Escalation phase of BF2042 will also see the arrival of new Specialist Rasheed Zain, a security expert who calls upon his technological skills to make use of an XMS370A semi-automatic airburst launcher, perfect for destroying shelters and exposing enemies to the fire of his teammates.

Still on the subject of 'hi-tech devilry,' it is impossible not to mention the arrival of the Rorsch Mk-4, a railgun that uses electromagnetism to fire projectiles at extreme speeds. Escalation will also introduce the NVK-S22, a semi-automatic, double-barreled shotgun with great destructive power, which joins the MEKV90-TOR railgun wagon and depot weapons.

In case you missed it: New Rainbow Six Siege x NieR Replicant crossover announced.

Battlefield 2042 Season 3 Escalation is scheduled to launch on November 22 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Also, on November 22, we will witness the entry of Battlefield 2042 into the EA Play catalog (included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and the arrival of the new Battle Pass with 100 free and premium levels.
