Sonic Prime's first episode to premiere in Roblox!

This 2022 was definitely Sonic’s year and rightly so! As this was the last stage of Sonic the Hedgehog's 30th Anniversary celebrations which ran from 2021 until the very last day of 2022.

As you may already know, the franchise is set to release its new animated series Sonic Prime on the streaming platform Netflix on December 15, however, their strategy to do this has an interesting turn.

Through a tweet via Netflix Geeked’s official account it was announced that the very first episode of Sonic Prime is going to debut 5 days before the official launch in Roblox.

Yeap, you read that right, Roblox will have the exclusive premiere of Sonic Prime. The interesting part? Is going to take place in Sonic Simulator the official Sonic The Hedgehog multiplayer game on Roblox.

Also, it has been reported that the episode will have a 40-minute run time and will air every 45 minutes between December 10 to 16 in-game, be sure to be around these dates.

We shouldn’t be surprised

Recently online-multiplayer games have been the perfect stage for artists around the world to hold concerts and album releases, so, is not a surprise that more and more forms of entertainment have decided to launch their projects through it.

In case you are not very familiar with the Sonic Prime project, you should know that the animated series is the sixth animated show based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series to be produced ever; so far season 1 has 24 confirmed episodes with a 40-minute run time.

Also is worth noting that it'll feature Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge and Big the Cat on a "high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in [Sonic's] gloved hands”.
