Is a new competitive shooter in the works?

This is not a drill! Joe Ziegler former VALORANT game director announced that he is now part of Bungie as a game director in order to develop “new stuff” which has unleashed endless theories about a new competitive shooter, so… are we looking at the next big game in the esports industry?

In case you don’t know who is Joe Ziegler he was part of the team that develop the idea of VALORANT as a whole, actually, he is credited as the one who mentioned the idea of the team-based tactical shooter first.

There is a reason

These endless theories about a new competitive game are not groundless, not long ago Bungie was looking for an incubation multiplayer systems designer to work on an unannounced IP, the job listing mentioned the company’s intentions to develop an esports PvP game and was searching for a professional familiar with the global gaming markets and the competitive esports and gaming landscapes.

On the other hand, last year Ziegler stepped down as VALORANT’s game director, leaving fellow developer Andy Ho as director. At the time Ziegler claimed to be working on a new IP within Riot Games, however, things had a big turn with his landing on Bungie.

While Ziegler has not confirmed in which project he is working on, we are sure that is going to be big… BIG. While we wait for any announcements, remember to follow us on Facebook / Twitter / Instagram for future updates.
