Xbox and Bethesda have just confirmed the new Developer_Direct event, in which they will share news about highly anticipated games for 2023. The announcement was bittersweet for some players because although we will see outstanding titles, there will also be important absences.
The studies clarified that Starfield would not be part of its next presentation despite being one of the most anticipated games for this year. However, this is not necessarily bad news. Xbox explained the absence of the game and anticipated that it was preparing a surprise for its players.

WHY WON'T STARFIELD BE AT THE NEXT XBOX EVENT?
Players should not be worried about the future of Starfield and its release, as Xbox and Bethesda are already preparing in a big way to announce more details of the space title. Starfield is so vital that it will have its own event in the future, so it will not be in Developer_Direct on January 25th.
"To devote the time necessary for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios' Starfield, a standalone program is in the works," the companies explained.
As of this writing, no further details of said individual presentation have been shared. According to official information, the game will debut in the first half of the year, so indeed, the event is not that far away, and, possibly, a new release date will finally be confirmed.
In the meantime, we will have to keep waiting and enjoy what the companies have prepared for the Developer_Direct, where we will see previews of other great games arriving in 2023.
To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Starfield, a standalone show is in the works.
