Character-based tactical shooter by Riot Games VALORANT recently welcomed the most recent big update Episode 6 Act 1. This new version brought the brand-new map Lotus which had a few bugs found by players over the last week. In patch 6.1 some of the reported bugs from this map among other issues have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience for everyone.

Lotus' changes and bug fixes

The first most noticeable change you'll see in the game is that the Lotus-only queue has been removed. It will now be included in the map rotation for Unrated and Competitive. Now going inside the map, one of the main changes is that the volume for the rotating doors has been reduced while rotating, the other changes are mainly bug fixes that are the following:

  • Boost exploit in the back of B Site has been removed.
  • You can no longer get yourself stuck in the rotating doors.
  • Breach can now use abilities on both rotating doors.
  • The destructible door located at A Link now has working vision cones.
  • The Spike can no longer get lost in the back of A Site.
  • Fixed a broken Spike plant spot on A Site.

Another bug fix was done to Killjoy’s Nanoswarm (C) which will no longer deal more damage to destructible objects than intended. There are other issues related to the gameplay systems that were fixed, and if you are interested in reading all of them you can click here to go the official patch notes page that went live today.

In case you missed it: Fire Emblem Engage will have a day 1 update

Other than that what has been shared in this note is pretty much a small number of gameplay fixes that usually happen in every VALORANT update. Be sure to report any bug or in-game issue you might encounter so that the game developers do something about them as some players tend to overuse game-breaking bugs that damage both teams' experience.
