Bobby Kotick, the controversial CEO of Activision Blizzard, remains in public defense of the Microsoft acquisition and recently hit back after the UK regulator opposed the deal as is and called for the sale of Call of Duty as requirement for approval. In the midst of the conflict, the manager spoke again and this time he sent a message to the United States regulator.

KOTICK REAFFIRMS THAT SONY NO LONGER HAS COMMUNICATION WITH MICROSOFT AND ACTIVISION

The head of Activision Blizzard is still in the ring defending Microsoft and criticizing regulators. During an interview with the Financial Times (via VGC), he reaffirmed that communication with Sony has been lost and has practically ceased with Microsoft and the Call of Duty company. Later, Kotick accused the Japanese company of wanting to boycott the acquisition because in the end it is known that his opposition to the deal has been strong before the regulators and it is thought that from his arguments the process was complicated.

HEAD OF ACTIVISION ASSURES MICROSOFT LAWYER WILL CRUSH THE FTC

However, confidence remains on the side of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard (at least that's what they appear to be) because in the same interview, Kotick took the opportunity to send a message to the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC), another of the regulators with whom they have to deal with: "Microsoft hired attorney Beth Wilkinson. She feels that she will have to sue the FTC and she will crush them, absolutely." Beth Wilkinson is an American lawyer who, curiously, was hired by the FTC to carry out an antitrust investigation case against Google and at that time, the president of the commission referred to her as a "world-class lawyer".

Finally, Bobby Kotick pointed out as absurd the idea that Microsoft or Activision Blizzard will break relations with Sony and PlayStation in case the agreement is approved. Previously, Microsoft insiders have pointed out such fear as financial nonsense given the revenue Call of Duty generates on the Japanese company's consoles and digital platforms.
