Another huge success for the beloved Resident Evil franchise. Continuing Capcom's successful history of remakes, Resident Evil 4 is doing the same, and just as the user numbers and other indicators favor it, so too is it in the marketplace with copies sold at launch.

Gamesindustry.biz's weekly video game sales report in the United Kingdom was relevant at this moment after the launch of Resident Evil 4 Remake, as it immediately took first place as the best-selling game in that market.

At the same time, it was confirmed that its initial sales were so good that it is the first remake of the franchise to surpass the launch of the original installment, although it should be taken into account that the launch of Resident Evil 4 in January 2005 only took place on Nintendo GameCube, a console that had very few users.

On the other hand, in terms of physical copy sales, Resident Evil 4 Remake was 23% lower than Resident Evil Village, 38% lower than Resident Evil 2 Remake, but 38% higher than Resident Evil 3 Remake, a controversial release that divided gamers.
