Without a doubt, there are many expectations surrounding Silent Hill 2 Remake; at the end of the day, we are talking about the new version of one of the most influential and important horror video games in the gaming industry. Although it was revealed last year, there are still many details that remain a mystery.

When will it debut?

A few days ago, Bloober Team's CEO, Piotr Babieno, held a talk with the Polish media Bankier where he spoke about the state of the company and the remake. There, he reportedly revealed that the new version of the horror title is "technically ready" and that it was up to Konami to set the release date.

These statements led the community to believe that the release of Silent Hill 2 is relatively close. Faced with the wave of speculation, the studio felt the need to speak out on social networks to address the recent rumors and clarify the manager's statements.

Through a statement, Bloober Team explained that Piotr Babieno's statements were taken out of context as the result of an inaccurate translation. While stating that they are working to deliver the best title possible, he denies that he has confirmed that the remake is ready for its debut.

"It is also not true that we have announced that Silent Hill 2 is ready for release. Regardless of the development stage, all of our activities are focused on obtaining the highest quality for the finished product-the quality that fans of Silent Hill 2 deserve," the studio commented.

"We are aware that players are waiting for more information about Silent Hill 2. As soon as such information becomes available, we are sure that Konami, the publisher for the game, will share it with fans," Bloober Team assured.

In the interview, Piotr Babieno reportedly said that they were aiming for the new version of Konami's classic to sell 10 million units. In this week's statement, the developer studio also denied those claims and stated that it is a misunderstanding.

"Our company’s messages did not contain sales forecasters of specific titles. The figures connected to Silent Hill 2 refer to the potential success of the type of games we will be focusing on in the future," reads the message.
