Nintendo has brought back some of the best games from its previous consoles to Switch. According to a new rumor, the company is preparing a surprise for fans who enjoyed the GameCube era and are fans of Mario.

A user on Famiboards (vía ComicBook) recently excited gamers, claiming that one of the best GameCube games will arrive on Switch with a remaster. We're talking about Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, one of the most beloved titles in the RPG saga.

Will Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door come to Switch?

The user Pikmin Snezkov shared a message on the forums that raised the hype of many, as he claimed that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will have a remaster. Thus, it would be the next Mario game to arrive on the hybrid console.

The informant stated that this port will soon be in the hands of players, but did not reveal a tentative date. He only affirmed that he has talked about this release with 3 different sources and that he is excited because he did not have the opportunity to play the original for GameCube.

Despite the exciting information, the reality is that nothing is confirmed for now. Therefore, we recommend taking this as a simple rumor and not eagerly awaiting the return of the 2004 game.

It is worth mentioning that Pikmin Snezkov has previously revealed other types of information that turned out to be accurate. However, this does not necessarily mean that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will have a version for Switch.

At the time of writing, Nintendo has not given any hints about this release. Therefore, we will have to be patient and wait for the company to confirm or deny this rumor.
