The King of Fighters XV is one of the most popular fighting games at the moment. Since its official release at the beginning of last year, it has managed to forge a very loyal competitive community around it. Luckily, now a new audience will be able to try it for the first time… with some restrictions.
The King of Fighters XV has released a free demo
Through a post on their social networks, SNK confirmed that players will be able to play this fighting game through a free demo that is already available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the trial version is not available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
As expected, the free demo only presents a part of the content of the final version of The King of Fighters XV. However, users will be able to access a fairly generous amount of fighters and game modes. It’s a very competent package.

Specifically, the trial version features 15 fighters: Shun'ei, Meitenkun, Benimaru Nikaido, Isla, Heidern, Dolores, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Chizuru Kagura, Terry Bogard, Ryo Sakazaki, Chris, Mai Shiranui, Athena Asamiya, Kula Diamond. It is worth remembering that the complete roster, not counting the downloadable content, is composed of 39 characters.
Finally, users can practice their combos in training mode and fight against the CPU or another player in local versus mode. Saved data from this version will not transfer to the final version, although this is not a problem considering that there is no arcade mode in the trial.
The King of Fighters XV demo is available in North America (including Mexico), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
But tell us, will you give this SNK title a try now that it has a free demo? Let us know in the comments.
