If you ever thought about how a Pokémon game could look like in HD and with a style similar to sagas like Octopath Traveler or Triangle Strategy, this is your lucky day, since a fan has just shared a video showing the result and you're going to want an official release like this.

As you probably know, all indications are that the main 2D Pokémon titles are behind us, so now the latest installments are taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch's potential to offer beautiful 3D open-world maps.

However, if the scenarios of games like Pokémon Scarlet & Violet aren't your thing, you'd better check out what one fan achieved by creating a video of what a game of the franchise would look like in HD-2D.

As you could see, the artist responsible for the Japanese YouTube channel Dott created some clips as a tribute to the popular series and it looks awesome, so surely the community is going to wish for an official title in that style.

It's worth mentioning that Square Enix's HD-2D graphics first appeared with Octopath Traveler in 2018 for Nintendo Switch and it's popular with the community.
