Aloy's adventures will continue: Guerrilla is already preparing a third Horizon game

The studio announced management changes following the promotion of one of its creatives to PlayStation Studios

Guerrilla Games released a statement this morning to talk about its future projects and some internal changes. The studio announced that Angie Smets, director and executive producer, will now be head of development strategy at PlayStation Studios.

As a result, Joel Eschler, Hella Schmidt, Jan-Bart van Beek will be the developer's new management team. So they will be in charge of the next projects related to Horizon: a multiplayer game and the third main installment of the saga.

Guerrilla is already working on 2 new Horizon titles

After several leaks, Guerrilla confirmed late last year that its Horizon multiplayer project is real. In its statement, it emphasized that such a title is on the way. The surprise was that it also confirmed one more main installment of the saga that will continue Aloy's story.

"We have full confidence in our new leadership as they steer Guerrilla towards a bright future, expanding the world of Horizon with Aloy's next adventure and our exciting online project." the study said.

Guerrilla also stated that he will continue to work to improve his technology and the Decima engine. For this he will be supported by Michiel van der Leeuw, his technical director. Unfortunately, he did not share anything about more about his upcoming games.

Angie Smets took the opportunity to thank all her colleagues at Guerrilla and highlight the excellent work they have done over the last few years.

"These past two decades at Guerrilla have been an absolute dream. I feel privileged to have worked alongside some of the smartest and coolest people in the industry. I'm so grateful for everything I've learned alongside all the other Guerrillas. We have accomplished so much as a team, and I'm incredibly proud of all the games we've shipped together." said the now head of development strategy at PlayStation Studios.
