As anticipated, it was only a matter of time before LEGO and Nintendo revealed new sets as part of their Super Mario collaboration, which would be based on Donkey Kong. Today, the highly anticipated announcement was made, and we can confirm that more friends of Donkey Kong will become figures, as well as what each set will include and its price.
As expected, the LEGO Donkey Kong sets would be specifically inspired by the Donkey Kong Country subseries, so we will see Donkey Kong, Dixie Kong, Diddy Kong, and even Rambi the Rhino, protagonists of each of the 4 sets that will make up the collection.

WHAT DOES THE DONKEY KONG’S TREE HOUSE EXPANSION SET INCLUDE?
Perhaps the most relevant set of the four will be this one, as it will include Donkey Kong and his grandfather Cranky Kong, protagonists of the most important games in the franchise, apart from Donkey Kong's home, which will have his hammock, a television, and even his iconic bongos. It will be possible to visit Cranky Kong to get some coins or discover a secret compartment. The set will contain 555 pieces and cost $59.99 USD.
WHAT DOES THE DIXIE KONG’S JUNGLE JAM EXPANSION SET INCLUDE?
As its name suggests, this set will be inspired by Dixie Kong's musical stage, and Mario, Luigi, and Peach can get on the dancefloor and join the rhythm of the primates and Squawks. It will consist of 174 pieces and cost $26.99 USD.

WHAT DOES THE RAMBI THE RHINO EXPANSION SET INCLUDE?
While Nintendo and LEGO forgot about Enguarde, Rambi will appear in the sets; in fact, he will have one of his own. It will be the cheapest as it only includes him and some blocks and a banana, but it will be a great addition for fans who want Donkey Kong to explore with him. It will consist of 106 pieces and cost $10.99 USD.
WHAT DOES THE DIDDY KONG’S MINE CART RIDE EXPANSION SET INCLUDE?
This is the most expensive set as it will cost $109.99 USD, and obviously, it will be the largest (1157 pieces) and most attractive to fans of the series, as they can recreate the iconic mine cart levels (with 1 mole and 1 shark), in addition to including Diddy Kong and fan favorite Funky Kong along with his home ship. Other characters from the LEGO Super Mario series can get on the mine cart.
The sets in this new collection will be available starting August 1, 2023.
