Microsoft removed the Xbox Game Pass offer at $1 some time ago, but promised new and attractive promotions for gamers. Well, today the company introduced the Friend Referral program, which will let you give a trial of several days of the service to several friends.
It is important to mention that this offer was launched at the beginning of March in some regions. It is now available to any user of the service in more regions who meets a series of requirements. Below, we share all the details with you.
What is the Xbox Game Pass Friend Referral program and how does it work?
Microsoft wants more gamers to enjoy all the benefits of Xbox Game Pass together with their friends, so it created the Friend Referral program. Thanks to this new benefit, active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can offer a free trial of the service to up to 5 friends.
It is important to note that the trial is for 14 days and is only for getting to know PC Game Pass. In addition, it is essential that the invited friends are new users of the service. Otherwise they will not be able to redeem the free trial. The person sending the invitations must reside in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand or Taiwan.
Chosen players will receive 14 days of all PC Game Pass benefits, so they will be able to enjoy the entire current library of games, including Day 1 releases, EA Play, Bethesda titles, Riot Games game rewards and more.
To send an invitation, simply visit the Xbox Game Pass home screen, which will now feature a special section to offer a friend a free trial. Invitations are valid for 30 days, so they must be accepted before they expire.
