Fortnite: Battle Royale is not only one of the most popular games in the world, but it will soon have the honor of being called an Olympic discipline. We say this because Epic Games' game is about to be part of the Olympics.

It turns out that the International Olympic Committee announced that Fortnite: Battle Royale will be part of the lineup of the inaugural week of the Esports Olympic Week. In case you didn't know, it's a 4-day festival full of "virtual sports and video games" organized by the same committee that makes the Olympics possible.

The Fortnite event will feature a dozen Fortnite Champion Series players who will test their aim in a sharpshooting competition. The special event will take place on a Fortnite Creative Island that was designed specifically for this event. So, it's a unique challenge that will test the skills of the best shooters in Fortnite.

In case you didn't know, the Esports Olympic Week will take place in Singapore starting on June 4th. It's an event that will also have competitions for games like Gran Turismo, Just Dance, Zwift Cycling, and virtual chess.
