Recently, rumors have emerged indicating that Sony will hold a PlayStation Showcase at the end of this month or in early June. While this information has not yet been confirmed, a new clue surfaced this weekend suggesting that the event is real and will include an anticipated Konami title.
Will Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake appear at the next PlayStation Showcase?
XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker said on his podcast that the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake could appear in Sony's presentation and would have some type of exclusivity with PlayStation 5. While he recalled saying something similar about Final Fantasy XVI and being correct at that time, he covered his back and stated that it is a rumor.
In addition, the insider and journalist reminded that the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is not confirmed in the first place, so his statements refer to the "rumor of a rumor." Thus, he suggested that players should proceed with caution and temper their expectations.

Although it remains to be seen whether Nick Baker's sources are correct, Jez Corden, a journalist from Windows Central, corroborated this information and assured on his Twitter account that he "heard similar." Specifically, he commented that supposedly, Konami and Sony reached an exclusivity agreement with Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and maybe a new Castlevania.
Silent Hill 2 Remake, a title that appeared in a special showcase during the fall of last year, is a timed exclusive for PlayStation 5 and PC. Whit that in mind, it's easy to think that Konami reached a similar deal with its others games.
In any case, we remind you that this information lacks official confirmation from Konami or Sony. We recommend taking it with a grain of salt to avoid disappointment.
