It seems that the fight against spoilers might be going too far

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the most anticipated game of the year, so you can imagine that its leaks caused a lot of noise. This made Nintendo activate an iron fist mode and go against all leaked content to eliminate it from the Internet. Unfortunately, these measures also affected innocent individuals.

Recently, a popular Twitch streamer had to suffer a ban without doing anything wrong. What happened? Well, it turns out that she decided to show official and authorized gameplay of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. That being said, it seems that the anti-copyright infringement machinery took things too seriously and ended up taking down her channel.

The victim of this misunderstanding was Alanah Pearce, a streamer, former journalist, and current member of the creative team at SIE Santa Monica Studios. After being banned, Pearce used her Twitter account to clarify that she never streamed an emulated or pirated game of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

So what was she doing? It turns out that she was reacting to SkillUp's video with impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom uploaded to his channel. That is, she was watching a YouTube video with gameplay that was completely authorized by Nintendo. Thus, it is a ban that can be considered unfair and senseless.

Fortunately, the bad time lasted only briefly for Alanah Pearce. She quickly sent an appeal to Twitch for false copyright claims, and Amazon's platform understood the situation. That's why they lifted her punishment in 1 hour and 10 minutes.

What do you think about this situation? Do you think Nintendo should relax a bit or is it better to be extreme and then correct errors? Let us know in the comments.
