"They're digital souls", Ubisoft won't give up and will release Assassin's Creed NFTs

Company announced a partnership to offer digital and physical collectibles to gamers

Despite its failures with NFTs, Ubisoft is still not giving up and is now preparing a line of digital collectibles of Assassin's Creed, its most iconic franchise. To do so, it will work with Smart Collectibles, a company specializing in digital items very similar to the NFTs.

Thanks to this, players will be able to acquire Assassin's Creed Smart Collectibles, which are unique collectibles with digital and physical elements. They consist of a 3D printed cube linked to the blockchain. Each object will be unique and will feature elements of the popular saga.

Assassin's Creed will have printable NFT

Smart Collectibles and Ubisoft say that players will be able to get a "digital soul" special edition that they can customize to have a unique digital and physical collectible in the world, which will have several identifiers.

Fans will be able to interact with their collectible from an app, which will allow them to earn achievements and unlock additional rewards. These "digital souls" will feature various types of rarities and represent characters from Assassin's Creed.

At the time of writing, the price of the products has not been revealed, as there is no release date yet. As expected, gamers had a negative reaction, as they have stated on several occasions that they have no interest in NFTs or similar technologies.

"Don't miss out on the chance to obtain a digital soul from one of your favorite Assassin's Creed characters to start your Smart Collectibles™ journey. Once you purchase the digital soul, you can customize and embed it in a physical Smart Collectible shipped directly to your door." can be read on the project's website.
