Pokémon Scarlet & Violet debuted without compatibility with Pokémon HOME, the Pokémon storage service, but The Pokémon Company promised it would be available "early" in 2023. Fans were expecting this to happen earlier this year, but the wait was rather long. Fortunately, compatibility with Pokémon HOME will be launching soon.
As Game Freak released patches to fix Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, but not one to enable compatibility with Pokémon HOME, fans started to lose patience, especially as we approached the second half of the year, which was far from the promise of "early" in the year.
WHEN WILL POKÉMON SCARLET & VIOLET BE COMPATIBLE WITH POKÉMON HOME?
But good news has arrived today, as The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon HOME will be compatible with the latest titles in the series soon. This means that the storage service will be compatible with 11 titles or applications: Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet, Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Bank.
While Pokémon HOME allows stored Pokémon to return to several of the games they came from, this is not possible with Pokémon Bank, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!, as the transfer route is one-way only, as shown in the image below.

YOU CAN RECEIVE SPECIAL POKÉMON IN POKÉMON SCARLET & VIOLET WITH POKÉMON HOME
Players who link Pokémon HOME with Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and send the first creature to the storage service will receive Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with their respective hidden abilities. This is appreciated, but it is possible to obtain these creatures in the game thanks to the Ability Patches.
Perhaps most interesting for series collectors is that they can finally transfer Gimmighoul in its Walking Form, which can only be obtained in Pokémon GO, to Pokémon HOME and therefore to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Additionally, with the new 3.0.0 update of Pokémon HOME, it will be possible to convert Pokémon HOME points into League Points (LP) to use in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. There will also be new achievements that, when unlocked, will award players with stickers featuring designs from Paldea, which can be used to customize their personal profile.
Finally, Pokémon HOME will add the ability to change Pokémon moves directly in the application, so players can change (remember) creature attacks before sending them to other games, and can modify which information about them is visible depending on the games they have been in, including the information presented in Pokémon Bank.
