PlayStation 5 will be three years old in the market and Sony has already launched several heavyweight exclusives. That said, for PlayStation, the work is not done and they plan to release 2 or more major exclusives each year.
Recently, a document from a PlayStation financial presentation was made public. It reveals that they want to continue growing their first-party portfolio of releases for PlayStation consoles.
As part of this strategy, Sony has planned "2 or more" important releases per year. Additionally, they stated that they aim to create a balance between releasing new installments of "big franchises" and new intellectual properties.
On the other hand, Sony also indicates that they want to release both single-player games and various service games. All of these releases will seek to cover all important genres such as shooters, racing, RPG, platformers, action, and sports.
