The Xbox Games Showcase 2023 is days away and, of course, gamers' excitement is through the roof. Xbox and its executives have made several social media posts that seem to hint at possible announcements, but Aaron Greenberg said that's not always the case.
Xbox's vice president of marketing recently posted a photo that excited many of the brand's followers. For many, the image has a clear reference to Fable and its new installment; however, Greenberg asked gamers for peace of mind. He advised them not to speculate about it and suggested them to wait for the event.
Greenberg asks fans for patience for Xbox Games Showcase
Various hints suggest that Fable will indeed be part of the Xbox Games Showcase; however, nothing has been officially confirmed at this time. This has caused fans to look for clues about the possible announcement where perhaps there simply aren't any.
Greenberg posted a photo showing him with Jeff Rubenstein and Larry Hryb, also Xbox executives, at a coffee shop. An incomplete sign is visible at the location, which just happens to show the letters "ABLE". Twitter users considered it a reference to Fable and the next game in the series.
As expected, Greenberg was surprised by such a conclusion and made a clarification: he is not giving hints about the Xbox Games Showcase in his social media posts. He asked gamers to wait for the event to see live announcements and learn what surprises are in store.
The executive thanked gamers for their excitement and passion, and reminded them that the show is just around the corner. He also asked them to somewhat control speculation around the event.
"I’ve not teased anything, prefer for our fans to be surprised when they watch live. But it does feel like right now if I sneeze someone will say, X game confirmed! Love you all and the passion, keep it coming as we are about a week away!" stated Greenberg.
