Nintendo Switch users who are Star Wars fans received some bad news this week. Aspyr Media announced that the port of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords will not receive the DLC they promised a while ago as it was canceled.

The studio knows that the news is disappointing for many, so they decided to reward affected players. Users who meet a condition can get a free Star Wars game for Switch or PC.

STAR WARS: KOTOR II WILL NOT HAVE DLC ON SWITCH

"Unfortunately, today we announced that the restored content DLC for the Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords will not advance for release," revealed Aspyr.

Many fans were disappointed by the news since the restored content was significant to their experience. The DLC was going to add some cut elements and fix various bugs. So the community regretted Aspyr's decision.

To make up for the disappointment, the studio will give away copies of various Star Wars games. Switch users who purchased Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords before this announcement can get one of the following games for free:

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Star Wars: Republic Commando
  • Star Wars: Episode I Racer
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II for PC

If you meet the condition and know which game you want as compensation, simply visit Aspyr's support site and provide proof that you purchased Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords for Switch before June 2nd.
