Aaron Greenberg confirmed the estimated duration of the event and the type of content they will be offering

The Xbox Games Showcase will be held in a few days, so Aaron Greenberg finally shared more details about the event. The Xbox vice president of marketing revealed the approximate length of the show and information about the kind of announcements they will be offering to their fans.

Whether directly or indirectly, Greenberg threw a few stones at the PlayStation Showcase, Sony's event that was criticized for showing several trailers with pure CGI and including a trailer for the Gran Turismo movie.

Xbox promises more than CGI trailers for its event

Gamers are very excited, so they expect the Xbox Games Showcase to live up to their expectations. Some fans of the brand asked Greenberg for announcements with gameplay and not just CGI trailers.

The executive answered and confirmed what many gamers wanted to hear: Xbox will not show its first-party with CGI-only trailers. Greenberg explained that they will show gameplay, footage that will run directly in the game engine and a few cutscenes.

"None of our first party games in the show are full CG trailers. Everything is either in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics. Each of our trailers will be labeled so it is hopefully clear for our fans," the executive explained.

On the other hand, he stated that the event will not feature any announcements related to movies or TV series. So, the Xbox Games Showcase will focus entirely on games and, probably, services.

We also know that the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct will last approximately 2 hours in total. Finally, Greenberg stated that the event will not be focused on releases that will necessarily arrive in the next 12 months, as was the case in past shows.
