The Call of Duty scene has been embroiled in controversy after Activision removed the NICKMERCS operator bundle following a controversial tweet by the content creator that was deemed anti-LGBT during Pride Month. The issue seemed to have died down, but it was reignited when a fellow content creator supported NICKMERCS and made an unexpected request to Activision.
Nick Kolcheff, better known as NICKMERCS, was in hot water this week, and his controversy transcended so much that Activision decided to remove the character based on him, which had only debuted at the end of last month, along with the character based on another content creator, Timothy John Betar, better known as TimTheTatman.
TIMTHETATMAN DOES NOT WANT TO BE IN CALL OF DUTY
Now, only TimTheTatman's operator is available, but it could soon be removed since the renowned streamer has just asked Activision to delete his content from the game.
It should be noted that TimTheTatman is not requesting this from Activision because he supports NICKMERCS' opinion, but rather as a show of support for his longtime friend.
"NICKMERCS has been my friend for years, we agreed to have our Call of Duty operators together," said the content creator. "It feels wrong that I have mine and he doesn't. In solidarity with my friend, please remove the timthethatman package, Call of Duty."

It feels wrong for me to have mine and him no longer have his. In support of my friend, please remove the timthetatman bundle@CallofDuty
ACTIVISION'S DECISION WAS CONTROVERSIAL
Activision's decision to remove the NICKMERCS operator from Call of Duty received a polarized reception, as there were those who supported it, but there were also those who disagreed with the move.
One of the latter was also a content creator, Dr. Disrespect, who called for a boycott of Call of Duty and mentioned that he would not play it until NICKMERCS' operator returns to the game or until Activision offers an apology.
Unlike Fortnite, this is the first time that Call of Duty has immortalized content creators in its title. However, after these inconveniences, it is likely that Activision will not want to do collaborations of this kind again.
Activision has not yet responded to the request. What do you think of this situation involving Call of Duty? Let us know in the comments.
