Starfield will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem and, therefore, will not be coming to PlayStation 5. Some gamers are still upset about this situation, as they believe that a game of the importance of Starfield should be available on Sony's console.

Several PlayStation 5 users decided to raise their voices and created a petition not only for Starfield to come to PS5, but also for it to be exclusive. The reason? They believe that the title would work, look and sell better on PlayStation than on Xbox. Plus, they claim that the Xbox community doesn't deserve an exclusive of that caliber.

PS5 users lash out at Starfield exclusivity on Xbox

"For over a decade Bethesda games have been released on PlayStation. They perform better on PlayStation, run better, and sell better. Xbox and specially Phill Spencer have no business taking them away," reads part of the petition posted on change.org.

From its author's perspective, Starfield exclusivity will hurt not only PlayStation, but also the entire gaming community. For some reason, he also believes that "Xbox and its 12 dedicated gamers don't deserve Starfield or any exclusivity."

The reason? He believes Xbox gamers have been arrogant and annoying since it was the Xbox Games Showcase. "They keep sharing Starfield news telling us 'get an Xbox,'" the gamer added.

His arguments go further and he claims that if Starfield were to come to PlayStation, then it wouldn't just run at 30 fps, as "they would shame Todd Howard into properly optimizing it." Furthermore, he claims that Xbox has not paid enough attention to the game and its technical side.

Because of all this, the gamer believes that all Bethesda titles should be PlayStation exclusives, as they would have Sony's backing. Finally, the author invited gamers to protest at various stores, such as GameStop, on the release day of Starfield.

"We need to go out in mass and stop people from buying copies in launch date. Even better go online and report every video you see praising Starfield until we make it exclusive for us and only us," the author added.

As of this writing, the petition has 1117 signatures out of the 1500 it seeks to gather. As is evident, this will have no impact whatsoever on Starfield, which will debut in a few weeks as an Xbox exclusive.
