The celebrated composer stated that she made arrangements for all the original music, so the remake will respect the soundtrack of the 1996 game. This is undoubtedly excellent news, as Super Mario RPG's music for SNES was precisely one of its most outstanding elements.
"I'm in charge of the music for the new version of Super Mario RPG announced today in the Nintendo Direct. I put my heart into arranging all the songs, hoping that both fans of the original and those who are experiencing it for the first time can enjoy it. Stay tuned for more news," Shimomura said.
