One of the games that made a trend in the horror genre scene was Slender: The Eight Pages, inspired by the Creepypasta character Slender Man, which gained popularity in the late 2000s. In recent years, this character has been forgotten in the gaming scene, but it seems that it will soon return to terrorize players.
The original game from 2012 had a sequel, Slender: The Arrival, which originally debuted in 2013, developed by Blue Isle Studios. Since then, however, the series has been on pause, meaning that this year marks 10 years without a new installment. The last we heard was the release of Slender: The Arrival for mobile devices in 2021.
Is a new Slender game on the horizon?
The slumber could end very soon judging by several clues that suggest a sequel or a remaster is in the works.
We say this because Blue Isle Studios shared a somewhat unsettling trailer, where a creature can be seen in a strange position, and some believe it is Slender or related to this entity.
"It is waiting..." commented Blue Isle Studios.
As if that weren't enough, the official website of Blue Isle Studios has been updated and currently displays a countdown that will reach zero in 32 days, so fans of this franchise should stay tuned for Friday, July 28, as that is when the mysterious announcement will be made.
