Without a doubt, 1-2-Switch is the worst exclusive for Nintendo's hybrid console. Despite its lukewarm reception among fans, it managed to get a sequel that quietly debuted this year. Well, the second installment recently sparked an interesting controversy.
In case you're not aware, Everybody 1-2-Switch! is a casual video game packed with mini-games intended for social gatherings. As part of the new features, players can now use a mobile phone to play some of the activities, expanding the possibilities and allowing more people to participate.
The game allows players using mobile devices to upload any image as their avatar's profile picture. The problem? Nintendo overlooked the fact that people like to troll and did not introduce a system that prohibits the use of explicit or offensive content.
Fail! Players use Everybody 1-2-Switch! to share offensive content
Avatar icons appear primarily in waiting rooms but also in other instances, such as the end screen displaying the top 3 players of the match. While it's a minor issue in local sessions, it becomes a concern when considering that online players can see the images of other participants.
The Nintendo World Report informs that they have witnessed players using Everybody 1-2-Switch! to share explicit images. Additionally, they also noticed that some individuals are using the game's text options to spread racist and discriminatory messages.

This situation has raised concerns among Twitch content creators who try to play Everybody 1-2-Switch! during their live streams, as they fear that an image that violates the platform's guidelines may appear during their gameplay session, potentially resulting in penalties.
So far, Nintendo has not addressed this issue, and it's unknown whether they will add a system to restrict the content users can share in the game through an update.
But tell us, have you encountered a troll in this game? Do you think it's dangerous that there are no filters to block explicit content? Let us know in the comments.
Everybody 1-2-Switch! is exclusively available for Nintendo Switch.
