It's safe to assume that no one expected Starfield to be a game that would take up a moderate or small amount of storage space, considering it's the most ambitious video game from Bethesda and an enormous-scale space adventure. With that in mind, it's a fact that we need to consider the available space on our Xbox Series X|S SSD, especially the second model, and we now have official information regarding that.
How much will Starfield weigh on Xbox Series X|S?
The official Starfield page on the Xbox store has been updated with additional details, and one of them is the file size at launch. According to the information currently available, Bethesda's new beast will occupy 125 GB of the Xbox Series X|S SSD. This is particularly noteworthy for those with an Xbox Series S console since it has less than 400 GB of available storage. If you don't have additional expansion with an extra SSD, you'll need to manage the content on your console to install the space-themed game.

Recently, Starfield sparked controversy due to confusion surrounding the physical format and the presence or absence of a disc in the standard edition. Bethesda confirmed that the physical edition will include a Blu-ray disc, but not the collector's edition, as the company is considering players on PC or Xbox Series S.
On another note, the hype for the release of Starfield is so high that elderly gamers are ready to embark on the space adventure, with some stating that they will dedicate their retirement leisure time to Bethesda's new game. This is not surprising, considering the allure of exploring space and over 1000 planets.
Starfield will debut on September 6 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
