Is it time for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Escape From Tarkov to start trembling? Quite possibly. It turns out a group of military veterans has founded an independent studio to work on a new first-person shooter game that could rival these big titles.
The project is called We The People, the first endeavor by Small Indie Company, a team founded by military veterans. This development team aims to create a shooter with realistic shooting physics, including bullet deviation and a certain randomness in how they bounce off surfaces. It will also feature gameplay mechanics that make it an incredibly ambitious project.
As explained, We The People is set in maps with multiple entry and exit points. Your mission will be to enter, find loot, and extract the objectives, similar to Escape From Tarkov or Warzone's DMZ mode. Small Indie Company is designing it to be a game with a lot of verticality and plenty of dangers, such as zombies, animals, and, of course, other players.
One of the most appealing aspects of We The People is that you will have a hideout where you can acquire weapons, equipment, and consumable items. What's interesting is that it won't be a simple menu but a living environment that you can develop according to your needs. This adds base management elements and makes the progression feel special.
You can learn more about We The People in their upcoming development diary:
It's worth mentioning that We The People does not have a release window yet. However, it is expected to debut as part of the Steam Early Access program.
What do you think of We The People? Will you give it a chance when it debuts? Let us know in the comments.
