Something that distinguished the current console generation was not only its power and teraflops but also the trend of major companies selling their games for $70 USD. Slowly, this is becoming a standard, and a beloved company might soon join in with an anticipated game.
Among the announcements that generated the most excitement during mid-year events is the remake of Persona 3. SEGA is preparing an enhanced experience with new gameplay features to make the game more enjoyable. However, there is something that is troubling fans, and it has to do with the game's price.
How much will Persona 3 Reload cost?
Suspicions were raised by a survey that SEGA sent to certain users, in which the descriptions of some of their upcoming releases were provided to gather feedback on each project's synopsis.
The game that caught attention was Persona 3 Reload, as in the upper corner, the label "$69.99 USD" is visible (compared to the conventional $59.99 USD), suggesting that it may be the amount players will have to pay to acquire it (via ResetEra).
This should not come as a surprise to players who follow the industry closely, as they will recall that just a few months ago SEGA had expressed its positive stance on the possibility of raising the price of its games to $70 USD, a trend that several major companies have embraced.
It should also be noted that this is not the first time SEGA has released games above the $60 USD mark. The most recent case is Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection (a bundle of 3 titles), which was sold for $80 USD.
Many users expressed their gratitude for having Game Pass, as the Xbox service will offer the game on launch day at no additional cost as part of its digital catalog.
However, neither SEGA nor ATLUS have confirmed the price of the game at this time.
